Sean Mulhern F.C.A. P.I.P (Managing Partner)

Sean trained in a large North West practice and qualified as a Chartered Accountant before moving to industry to work as financial controller for a large indigenous manufacturing company in the North West.  He then moved back to his native Sligo to set up his own practice.  He is a fellow member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.  Sean holds a Certificate of Personal Insolvency awarded by Chartered Accountants Ireland and is authorised by the Insolvency Service of Ireland as Personal Insolvency Practitioner.  Sean also advises on corporate restructuring and insolvency matters and has acted many times as a liquidator in creditors, members and Official High Court liquidations.  He also has extensive experience in dealing with financial institutions.

Sean has extensive experience in taxation and in all aspects of dealing with the Revenue Commissioners.  He also has gained a wealth of experience in forensic accounting and has often served as an expert witness in court on behalf of both insurance companies and claimants.

Michael Kenny B. Comm. Q.F.A. , APA Debt Management Services (Director)

Michael has spent 32 years in the Financial Services Industry.  Michael left Bank of Ireland's commercial lending division to set up a Financial Services Intermediary business in 2003.  Michael has extensive experience in all aspects of financial products and Life and Pensions to Investments to Debt restructuring/insolvency.

Michael has an Honours B.Comm from NUI Galway and is a Qualified Financial Adviser (Q.F.A).  He is a member of the Institute of Banking in Ireland and has recently passed the Institute's Professional Insolvency Practitioner Course.  Michael is also a director of Sligo Financial Services Centre Limited, this company trades as Mulhern Leonard Debt Solutions.  The Company is based in the Mail Coach Road office and is fully Authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland.

David Simpson B.B.S. F.C.C.A. (Associate Director, Sligo)

Following graduation from D.C.U, David worked in a Dublin practice for a number of years, gaining auditing and systems experience.  David is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.   David advises on personal, corporate, and capital taxation.  David has also worked on a wide range of computerised accounting systems and also specialises in business plans and projections for new businesses.

Freda McGuire B.B.S. C.P.A. (Associate Director, Boyle)

Following graduation from Sligo IT, Freda joined Mulhern Leonard where she trained and qualified.  Freda is an associate member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland and an affiliate member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.  During her time working in practice she has gained a wide range of experience with both corporate and sole trader clients.  Freda is also a Registered Auditor.
